PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

It is with tremendous honor that I have been elected to the Presidency of Broadbent & Associates, Inc. (BAI). I have been with BAI since 1991 and risen through the ranks. Through this experience, I have been fully engrossed in the culture and growth of this great organization. BAI has experienced measured growth in nearly every year of business since its inception in 1987 which has benefited our employees and clients in many ways. This success is due in large part to development of innovative ideas and hard work by our outstanding staff, our attention to employee safety via an industry-best safety program, our ability to cultivate a mind set of work hard and play hard, and strong, long term client satisfaction and retention. We have been steadfast in these areas and to our core values of safety, integrity, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. It has been a true pleasure and blessing to me and my family to be associated with this firm for nearly 90% of my professional career.

Another source of corporate pride is that BAI was leveraged well to weather the difficult economic times our country has recently experienced. I am equally proud and excited to introduce our plans for the future. In 2010, we will initiate an aggressive and ambitious long term strategic plan to significantly expand the Corporation in terms of clientele, geographic presence, and environmental services provided. This will require sustained commitment by the entire organization, from the top down and the bottom up. Not only are our people ready, willing, and able, but they are truly excited to play a part in the expansion of BAI.

And so it is with great anticipation that I take the reins to serve BAI as President for the coming years and I look forward to what the future holds in store for us. Timeline

BAI has a strong history of steady and sustainable growth. This measured growth has been part of BAI’s successful business strategy for nearly 20 years.


1987		Bob Broadbent opens the doors of Broadbent & Associates in Boulder City, Nevada in a suite shared with a barber shop.

1989		BAI is awarded a multi-year environmental contract with a major oil company’s Nevada sites.

1992		BAI’s staff reaches 10 people.

		BAI opens its Reno, Nevada office.

1993		BAI now has 20 people.

1996		BAI now has over 30 employees.

1998		BAI’s Southern Nevada office moves from Boulder City to its current location in Henderson.

1999		BAI opens its Phoenix, Arizona office.

2000		BAI has 45 employees.

2001		Bob Broadbent retires – Rob Miller becomes President.

2003		BAI opens its Chico, California office.

2004		BAI wins exclusive, major, multi-year environmental contract with a state environmental agency. BAI opens its San Antonio, Texas office.

2005		BAI wins environmental contract with a California State University campus.

2006		BAI is co-awarded a major multi-year environmental contract with a state environmental agency, and extended major oil client contract to include Northern California.

2008		BAI again awarded aforementioned state environmental agency contract.

2009		BAI begins Stack Testing Air Quality Services and opens its Vacaville, California office.

2010		BAI Rob Miller steps down as President, but still serves on the Board of Directors. Doug Guerrant becomes President.
