Principal Geologist, PG, CEM

Mr. Stowers has approximately 24 years of experience conducting, managing, and supervising subsurface soil and groundwater characterization and remediation investigations relative to release of petroleum hydrocarbons/hazardous materials. Mr. Stowers has been with Broadbent since 1992 where he currently serves as a Principal Geologist and as the Environmental Division Manager for the Henderson, NV office. He has also served as a Board member. He has extensive experience in Project Management for large facilities in Nevada, including: evaluation of radionuclides, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), metals, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and semi-volatile organic compounds (SVOCs) in soil and groundwater; formulation of remedial alternative studies; and preparation of quarterly monitoring and sampling reports. His general water resource management experience includes conduct and management of field activities and personnel relative to drilling and construction of deep aquifer municipal water supply wells. Services include geological logging of soil cuttings, assistance in well construction design, and direction of aquifer development and testing.

Mr. Stowers has a Bachelor’s Degree in Earth and Planetary Sciences from Harvard University. His professional registrations include Professional Geologist and Incident Commander in California; and Certified Environmental Manager in Nevada. He is currently a member of the Nevada Ground Water Association and has served on the Board of Directors of the Air and Waste Management Association.
