Lonnie Roy, Principal Engineer

Mr. Roy has more than 32 years of experience in civil and environmental engineering projects throughout the western United States. Mr. Roy has been with Broadbent since 1996 where he currently serves as Corporate Vice-President, Board Officer, and Principal Engineer. His experience includes conduct of groundwater assessments, flood studies, water quality analyses, underground storage tank design and installation, and environmental permitting and reporting. He has performed environmental and civil engineering projects for developers, mining companies, gravel operations, power companies, water purveyors and state and local governmental agencies.

Mr. Roy graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1982 with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, and he completed graduate level coursework in Engineering at Texas A&M University. He is registered as a Professional Engineer (Civil) in Nevada, Arizona, Texas, and Utah, and as a licensed Water Rights Surveyor in Nevada.

Other significant experience includes: Designed and supervised construction of over 30 high-capacity water supply wells; prepared specifications for ground-water well pumping equipment, designs for septic systems, designs and specifications for flood control projects, and designs and operations for water and wastewater systems; prepared SPCC and SWPP plans for more than 60 industrial facilities, tanks farms, and residential and commercial construction sites; and prepared numerous water rights applications, NPDES storm water permits, 404 permits, and UIC permits.
