Every year or so I try to update this message, and I have been doing so since 2010 when I became President. This year’s update is particularly exciting for me, as Broadbent is now in its 30th year of business. Bob Broadbent started the company in late 1987, as a single employee company operating in shared office space with his brother’s insurance company in the back of a barber shop in Boulder City, NV. Well, as the saying goes, we have come a long way baby! We now have six offices located across the western United States and over 100 employees covering a wide array of disciplines within the engineering and earth sciences industry. It has been an exciting and fun ride, and I am proud to say that I have been here for most all of this growth, having joined the company in 1991.
What makes me most proud of Broadbent is that our mission is and always has been to provide quality products (solutions to our clients concerns) at a fair price, and to create a work environment that is welcoming and both fun and challenging for our employees. This model has been extremely successful, as Broadbent is very good at retaining key employees and maintaining long term client relationships. Our biggest clients are also our longest standing clients.
Now what is really most exciting to me is that our 30th year in business is going to be our best year yet. We have been experiencing some exciting new developments including expansion of our Cultural Resources group, and solid growth in our Stack Testing, Mining, Water & Wastewater Operations, and Emergency Response sectors. None of it without challenges of course, but what would life be without challenges. Rolling up your sleeves and solving problems is where most of the fun and reward is anyway.
So, it is with great anticipation and optimism that we pass through our 30th year and look forward to the coming years for Broadbent.
Thanks again for your interest in our company and visiting our website. We hope that it is useful to you and we are grateful for your interest.
