Broadbent’s specialists provide full-scale emergency response observation and management services. Our personnel are available 24/7 and have appropriate certifications and registrations to perform required work. We have a successful track record collaborating with regulatory agencies, government entities, and law enforcement during emergency response situations. We perform these services for an array of clients including mining companies, petroleum corporations, railroad corporations, small businesses, trucking firms, government agencies, and construction companies.
Broadbent staff maintain current HAZWOPER and MSHA training which enables us to respond to a variety of emergency locations. Additionally, we maintain contracts with various local emergency response contractors to provide remediation and waste disposal services. To support these response activities, we own appropriate field equipment including photo-ionization detectors, multi-gas meters, lower explosive limit meters, and sampling equipment. Broadbent also has experience leading and participating in incident command meetings.
At the conclusion of emergency response and remediation activities, it is frequently necessary to provide a report to the regulatory oversight agency. Broadbent is experienced in preparing these reports. Our reporting goal is obtaining regulatory no further action status for closure of the release event as soon as possible.
Broadbent’s experience includes hundreds of emergency response incidents. This experience includes response to liquid fuel and hazardous materials release, propane release, illegal dumping, abandoned materials, uncharacterized waste at transfer stations, criminal hazardous material release, fueling facility accidental release, and industrial accidents. Our emergency response remediation experience ranges from single-day events to multiple weeks of remediation. Our experience includes accidents involving fuel tanker trucks, tractor-trailers, aircraft, and nautical craft.
