Community Support – Safe Embrace Trees & Lights Gala

Broadbent is more than just an environmental consulting firm operating in the western United States. We are also an active business and active individuals striving to be part of our communities where we live and work through volunteerism and financial donations to various non-profit organizations. A recent example of this is Broadbent’s participation in the 2nd Annual Safe Embrace Trees & Lights Gala in our local community of Reno, NV. Safe Embrace provides services to victims of domestic and sexual violence and the Gala raised funds to support an emergency shelter expansion project. Broadbent & Associates, Inc. Celebrates 30th Anniversary

In late 1987, our namesake and founder, Bob Broadbent, opened Broadbent & Associates as a sole employee in a shared suite with his brother’s insurance company located in the back of a barber shop in Boulder City, NV. Humble beginnings to be sure. The ensuing 30 years have seen steady and successful growth to where the company now has over 100 employees operating out of six offices located across the western United States. Barrick Cortez Hills Mine Tour

Broadbent staff from both our Reno and Henderson, Nevada offices attended the 32nd Annual Elko Mining Expo in June 2017. Broadbent was an Exhibitor at the Expo and also participated in the Golf Tournament and the Nevada Mining Association sponsored Tour of the Barrick Cortez Hills Mine. Broadbent has supported the Mining Industry in the Western United States since it was founded in 1987. We are currently working on a number of interesting projects at active, closed, and abandoned mines. RIFS Work Continues at Former Copper Mine

Remedial Investigation and Feasibility Study (RIFS) activities continue at a former Copper Mine in Northern Nevada. Earlier this month Broadbent completed 2nd Quarter Groundwater Monitoring and Sampling of approximately 220 wells including monitor, domestic, and production wells screened across numerous water bearing zones representing different aquifers. The schedule allocated three weeks to complete the event; however, the work was completed early primarily due to focused pre-field planning efforts, outstanding field management, fair weather, and the dedication and hard work of the Broadbent field staff.   Approximately 350 wells are scheduled to be sampled in August as part of the 3rd Quarter Groundwater Monitoring and Sampling event.
